On 4 June 1945, the D-company of the Canadian Carleton and York Regiments held a demonstration to show the Dutch people the weapons and equipment used by the 1st Canadian Corps 
in the liberation of their country. The commander was Lieutenant Colonel D. Walker from the Saskatoon Light Infantry (M.G.)
