Black wool semi-circle. Upon the black field, in an arc at the top of the badge, is the title 'SASK.L.I.', below this, horizontally, are the letters 'M.G.', and below these the word 'CANADA' all in yellow embroidered plain letters. The badge has black backing material.

This Saskatoon Light Infantry shoulder title was worn at the top of each sleeve of the Battle-Dress blouse, above the divisional signs. The Saskatoon Light Infantry was a machine gun battalion within the 1st Infantry Division.
